Thank you for your interest in Faith Bible Fellowship Church!

We are a family who exist to live holy lives, serve one another and proclaim the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have a high view of God and a high view of Scripture.

At Faith Bible Fellowship Church we focus on three priorities:

First, we exalt Jesus. Jesus Christ must have the preeminence in everything. Our Lord Jesus said in John 10:32, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me.” We exalt Jesus!

Second, we teach the Bible. Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” We must understand God’s Word.

Third, we reach out and love people. Jesus said, “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35).

Our prayer is that you will come to understand the breadth and length and height and depth of God’s great love for you. As we understand the truth through the teaching of God’s Word we are transformed into the image of Christ. We are the end of your search for a Bible teaching church!

History Of Faith Bible Fellowship Church, Big Lake, AK

Thus, a small fellowship of Christians broke ground on the corner of Hollywood and Kluane in 1980.

  • 1981 – Meeting at homes and briefly at Big Lake Elementary, “Grace Bible Chapel” opened its doors for regular Sunday Services.  A parsonage soon followed.
  • 1986 – Thriving, a new pastor was welcomed.
  • 1987 – The growing fellowship chose to meet briefly for a time at the Rainbow Center Mall. The name was changed to Faith Bible Fellowship.  With a new pastor FBF quickly outgrew the Rainbow Mall. A triplex on the Parks Highway became the next new place of worship.
  • 1991 – By God’s grace, the owners of the original property came forward with a remarkable offer.  Faith Bible Fellowship returned home to its current location on the corner of Hollywood & Kluane roads to the lovely chapel and a Sunday School classroom addition well under way.
  • 1997 – Our former pastor and his wife joined us from Arkansas.  The Chapel was expanded and overflow rooms were added to accommodate the growing congregation.
  • 1998 – Hubbard Hall building was built to provide the growing youth group a dedicated place to gather and a new parsonage for a youth pastor. In addition, a classroom addition and office space was added onto the chapel building
  • 1998-2000 – The Big Lake Elementary Kindergarten was welcomed to utilize the new classrooms to ease overcrowding.
  • 2003 – The original parsonage building was sold and moved off site.  A gym and future fellowship hall were built.
  • 2014 – The gym building was remodeled into a multi-purpose building.  This building now houses our new Sanctuary on Sundays and multi-purpose room the rest of the week. The Fellowship Hall complete with a commercial kitchen was also finished.
