Giving

Thank you all for your generosity and your willingness to support the ministries of Faith Bible Fellowship.

Why we give.

Giving back to God is an important part of our worship and helps proclaim the gospel. It acknowledges that it is God who provides for our needs and reminds us that God owns it all.  We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.  The Bible says giving is the one area where we are challenged to test God (Malachi 3:10).  When we bring our first and best to God, He promises to bless the rest.  We can’t out-give God.

  2. Pastor Ethan…

I am a 67 year old man who for many years walked through life, in darkness. Without a true sense of who I was, or should have been. I am a man who faltered in all the ways of mankind. I was a sinner, and like Paul said “The Chief.” A father to 6 wonderful and amazing children, all blessed as they are doing well in their lives. I lost two of the most beautiful women in my life via divorce. Bluntly I just lost. I am currently living in Wisconsin, retired now, from a medical career with local Clinic, and before that 20 years with U. S. Navy as a hospital corpsman. Rode submarines for a living as the “Doc” onboard out of South Carolina. As you can see a full life, yet… by the end nothing like I thought it was going to be, and I continued stumbling through life, ignorant, and in darkness.

However, this past year, while cleaning my home, I came across a little old bible (small white Gideon’s bible, New Testament / Psalms and Proverbs) I believe it was one I may have received in boot camp years earlier. I picked it up and read Matthew in its entirety, this was sitting outside against my house in the warm sun of fall. And something happened that I have never felt in my life. While reading I was overcome with understanding, for the very first time in my life. And after reading I just sat there and looked out over the fields, felt the suns warmth, and noticed that I had tears streaming from my eyes. Of all the places, people and things, that had come and gone in my life, this little book remained, kept following me around for years. As I sat there holding it, I believe that my life was opened and blessed, and since then, I am striving to walk my life in God’s light. And I knew I needed and wanted more… more understanding, wisdom, and knowledge.
I looked online for information, a place, and Ethan, this is where God brought me to you. I have been listening and going back through your sermons online. I have now a place to grow. A place for finding the understanding that I am looking for. The fellowship aspect that I need. I am finding it difficult to find a local pastor who fills this. (If you should know of one locally here in Wisconsin let me know, Eau Claire / Fall Creek area).
I am going to continue to follow your services, thank you for doing what you do, not only for the local people of Alaska that you serve but, for the many like myself that you have reached and helped to minister to.
Thank you, from the bottom of my saved heart…

    Bryan — Fall Creek, Wisconsin
(If I may be so bold, you now have another brother in Wisconsin)

    Thanks Again — God Bless!!
