Ethan and Chris came to Faith Bible Fellowship in the summer of 1997. Ethan attended Columbia International University and Columbia Biblical Seminary. After serving in the military in Desert Shield and Desert Storm and as associate pastor in south Arkansas, Ethan brought his family to Alaska.
Chris was born in Swaziland and raised in South Africa to missionary parents. In fact, her father spoke Zulu before he spoke English! Chris never expected to spend much of her life in the cold of Alaska!
They have four children: Daniel, Isaac, Charles and Elizabeth. Their lives are focused on serving the Lord Jesus for as Ethan exclaims, “He died for us. He gave His best for us. How could we possibly give Him any less than our very best”?”
As a family, the Hansen’s enjoy hiking, camping, fishing and exploring. Whether it’s Chitina, Byer’s Lake, Coldfoot, or a yet undiscovered place they enjoy spending time together as a family in this great State.
Says Ethan, “It is a great privilege to serve the people in our church and community. There are no greater privileges than being a pastor and ministering as a family. Our passions include exalting Jesus, teaching the Bible and loving people”.
