Psalm 119, famously known as the longest chapter in the bible with 176 verses, was written by David, heir to the throne of Israel around 8th century B.C.. David is currently trapped between two conflicts, one being his current king that is actively pursing to destroy him, and the other, an invading nation of Philistines. As home and foreign seek to destroy him, he cries out to God in both praise and plea.
